    • Data Career Journeys: Moderated by DAMA-RMC President Kelly Bruen
      • Bob Kumagi with DU Career Services will share best practices for getting a data job and navigating our current job climate.
      • Followed by a panel of  data professionals at various stages in their careers who will share their data career journeys, including how they started working with data and key advise for advancing within their companies and positions.  
      • Panelists Include: Bob Conway (Information Engineering Associates, LLC Founder and Principal Consultant), Shannon Prince (Head of EDM Platform & Insights at Janus Henderson Investors), and John Obuch (Lead Data Analyst role at Comcast’s CX Data and Analytics West division for enterprise data analytics and data science).
  • Agile for Data:
    • Guest speaker Lisa Redfield, Executive Director of Strategic Analytics & Prospect Development at the University of Denver, 
      will share best practices and real-world examples of using Agile with data projects.

  • Abstract 
    • Lisa will share how her Business Intelligence team uses Agile methods to keep analytics projects focused on real-time stakeholder objectives, improve project turn-around times and feedback cycles, and multiply team wins while building team trust and connection. You will learn about the Business Intelligence team’s successes and challenges and have an opportunity to ask questions about how the team has implemented and iterated their Agile processes over the past 6 years.
  • Bio: Lisa Redfield, Executive Director, Strategic Analytics & Prospect Development for Advancement, University of Denver 
    • Lisa is responsible for overseeing the Business Intelligence & Analytics and Prospect Development teams in Advancement at the University of Denver. Her team employs agile methods to develop and manage the business intelligence technical infrastructure for the Advancement division and offer strategic consultative support to the Development team through the delivery of analytics projects, data visualizations, research, and business process improvements and automations. She is committed to leading her team with kindness and positivity.
    • Before joining Advancement, Lisa worked in the Office of Graduate Education at DU overseeing several key operational functions including business intelligence, marketing and communications, and systems administration. Prior to that role, Lisa spent a portion of her career managing the Career and Tutoring Centers at Clovis Community College and over 10 years working on operations teams in banking and finance. 
    • Lisa holds a master’s degree in research methods and statistics from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern New Mexico University.
